About Myself:
Right now I am 17 years old, and will be graduating from highschool in May. I got involved in photography through 4-H, which I have been a memeber of for 9 years. I think it was my 3'rd year when I first took photography as a project, and ever since I have loved it. I can't even begin to imagine how many rolls of film I have used throughout my life. My future plans are somewhat clouded, but I have a basic idea of what I want to do. After I graduate, I am considering joining the Ohio Army National Guard to serve parttime and continue living at home. Then, I will look for the right college to go to. My major is going to be in photography(of course), and then I hope to pursue that as my career. |

My Camera:
I use a Canon EOS Rebel X camera. It is a great camera with tons of features and extras. I have two lenses I use with the camera, one is a Sigma 28-80mm wide-angle lens, and the other is a Sigma 70-300mm telephoto lens. I use various filters, flashes, and cables and such. I also use a tripod,(one of the most important tools) and have a monopod. Even though it is nice to have a camera with lots of features, and one that is very nice, all you really need to worry about is practicing. I used to use a very basic point and shoot camera until about 3 years ago, then I got my new camera. Most of the skills I learned came from repetitive practice with the very basics. So if you are interested in photography, dont think that you need to get a great camera to take good photos, just work on the very fundamentals.
